Southeast Coast publishes independent regional guides designed to help readers plan coastal travel and understand surf and beach conditions. These standards explain how we create, review and update that work.

People-first purpose

Every substantial page should answer a real planning question. We do not create pages simply to capture a keyword, repeat another site, or provide a thin doorway to an advertisement or booking link.

Sources and verification

Stable geographic and planning guidance may be written from established knowledge and editorial research. Facts that can change quickly—weather, surf, closures, prices, schedules, beach rules and emergency guidance—should be verified against current authoritative or local sources before publication or clearly described as something the reader must verify.

AI-assisted workflow

Technology may assist with outlining, editing, consistency checks or research organization, but published material is expected to provide site-specific editorial value. Automated output is not treated as a substitute for review, and we do not intentionally publish large volumes of unreviewed pages for search-engine manipulation.

Safety content

Surf and beach information is educational, not a guarantee of safe conditions. Ocean hazards can change quickly. Readers should follow lifeguards, local authorities, weather alerts and their own ability limits.

Commercial relationships

Advertising, sponsorships or affiliate relationships should be disclosed when they influence how a link or recommendation is monetized. Paid placement does not purchase a favorable editorial conclusion.

Corrections

Meaningful factual errors are corrected when confirmed. Readers can report a problem through the contact page. We prefer transparent updates to quietly preserving information we know is outdated.
